Has anyone used treclin gel longer than 3 months? Is it safe to use long term?

Treclin advises to use no longer than 3 months because of the risk of antibiotic resistance due to the clindamycin ingredient. But I’ve seen posts from people here who have used it for much longer than 3 months with great results. Is it typical to get away with using it for longer?
