Scratch resistant?

Just got my second Oura ring. Love it and only changed it out because I lost weight and the original one kept falling off my finger.

Got the new Oura 4 and had it on for ten minutes when I got my first scratch. How do they make a ring that scratches so easily? How hard does it have to be to make it not scratch? I know I can put on a cover but it defeats the purpose of wearing a ring and adds too much bulk.

Any recommendations to better protect it?
