Please help me return this gift from my ex!

Hello all I recently got a gift for my birthday, it is this yeti cooler backpack and it's olive green. I Dont like the color also the gift was given to my By an ex who returned from his trip to visit his family and then assaulted me in my vehicle and stole my money. So there's no way I can get the receipt from him. The store said they are not able to give me a refund because I Dont have a receipt so I have limited options but I was hoping someone would have a receipt for this item and I could give it to the dicks sporting good by my house or something. One already told me no without the receipt so I'm just getting a little desperate not trying to break any laws or anything but yeah, thanks for the help if you can. Bye and merry Christmas everyone
