Even modern classical scholars struggle to apologise for slavery and cannot deny that Hijab was meant purely for free women.
Again we have had a case of an infiltrator using apologetics and mental gymnastics to sow deception about key Islamic rulings such as slavery; the treatment of female slaves and the real meaning of beating with regards to Nashuz.
This person has been quick to demand evidence but fails to provide any themselves.
When given evidence they disappear.
Seekers Guidance (formerly Sunni Path) is a collective of modern neo -classical scholars who operate under the auspice of Shaikh Faraz Rabbani in Canada.
They have all studied under well established Shayook and are grounded in Arabic lugha as well as fiqh.
Shaikh Rabbani, a Hanafi of Deobhandi origins but later became a Sufi, has put out videos where he informs is that the punishment for apostasy is death. He explains - for the benefit of progressives- that the verse in Quran about no compulsion- applies only to non Muslims, citing the hadith about the justification for killing.
So there can be no doubt that according to classical and modern ulema (even those born in the West) that the fiqhi position on slavery is that the capture of females for concubinage is permissible; that the nakedness of slaves is permissible and that death for apostasy has nothing to do with treason and that the ayah of the Qur'an about no compulsion is qualified by hadith.
