Is My GPU Fried?
Sorry for the long post here, but I think my GPU is either failing or just cooked. I don’t even know where I went wrong
GPU: ASRock Steel Legend OC Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600
CPU Cooler: DEEPCOOL AG400
Mobo: Gigabyte
So far:
- I installed SignalRGB yesterday, couldn’t get it to change the RGB colour on my GPU but whatever. Everything working fine (from what I can see), didn’t touch anything internal.
- Today I boot up my PC and all my RGB is the same except my GPU now has no RGB. After some research, I decided to uninstall SignalRGB to see if it made any difference. My RGB colours went back to normal, but still no GPU RGB.
- Now my CPU cooler RGB (not the fan) stays on after shutdown. Tried fixing that by powering off and draining power. Now no RGB in cooler either… (fan still works)
- GPU behaviour: fans start spinning during booting, then stop (apparently this is normal, but I never looked at the fans before so idk lol. Fans inactive when watching YouTube or playing low-load games, maybe a few tiny twitches, but that’s it).
- Tried opening a bigger game like Elden Ring. Graphics that used to be super smooth are now like 2 FPS, and fans are not spinning. Immediately left the game, and while I did that, the screen went black about 3–4 times.
- My specific GPU shows up on the Device Manager, not a default GPU or anything.
- I reseated the GPU, and it’s still behaving the same way.
Help, is my GPU fried?
