Advice for starting to transition
Hello! I earlier in the year discussed some feelings witha trans friend and they went through a few more questions with me and determined there is a possibility that I could be trans and encouraged me to investigate into it.
I have done that and tried presenting femme (where it was safe to), I have tried female pronouns and have even tried wearing prosthetics (chest), and in each and every case I have felt happy and so comfortable with it that it's shocked me. I have even got my partner to use female affirmations, and Everytime it's used it never fails to make me smile.
Now onto the part I need advice for uhh, currently living in the northern area of the UK with plans to leave potentially permanently leave country. I want to try accessing gender affirming care at some point next year, (I would now but work conditions mean I can't safely take anything due to being unable to access blood testing). How would I go about this without having to deal with the current 7 year waitlist for my nearest health clinic?
I've investigated into things like Gendercare and other similar providers and people have told me that they're scams and only issue prescriptions you'd have to pay for yourself and don't assist with any blood testing etc.
As for situation, I can't really go through a GP because I'm currently military serving and have no idea how that would go (currently I don't feel the military is all that safe for someone wanting to transition). Though this means I can pretty comfortably afford medication.
Any advice on what I can do because right now it feels like I'm hunting blindly for solutions.
