How is the difference between DR2 and ACR this huge?

Discussion

Disclaimer: this post is not a criticism or complaint of anything, please refrain from commenting stuff like "skill issue" and just read the post. I'd like to hear some thoughts!

Recently purchased my first wheel, and I am shocked by the huge difference between AC rally and DR2/EA WRC (kinda clumping them together, they feel similar to me). Like, I could immediately jump into DR2 or EA WRC and go flat out in finland, it's almost impossible to lose control of the car anywhere, even in the snow. In contrast, In ACR I am very much pleased when I can successfully turn a corner at 60 kph without spinning out / going off track.

Don't get me wrong, I love ACR exactly because it feels like I'm actually driving a real car and the game doesn't care about my skill level. This post is just to get some discussion going about the realism levels.

What I'm confused by is the fact that, although DR2 / EA WRC are definitely more arcadey, they do stand out as decently realistic games (according to actual rally drivers). Like, it's not perfect but it's pretty translatable. Which makes it absurd that I can easily drive anything in that game without any problem. I shouldn't be able to do that as a beginner.

Now ACR is way harder for me (and personally, way more enjoyable because of it), which is more like expected. However, harder is not always more realistic.

I hope I'm getting my point across, it's not a criticism of either game. Just that the difference between these games is so ridiculously big that I don't understand how all of them are considered rallysims (or simcade, which is an entire spectrum it seems). Thoughts?
