I got tired of personal finance apps renting me my own money data, so I built an alternative. Opening late-Alpha access (50% off for first 100).

Hey everyone,

I’ve had the same frustration for years: personal finance apps that feel helpful, then slowly turn into a subscription trap. Pay monthly just to see basic insights, trends, or anything that actually helps.

So I started building KarlaFinance.

This is still early, but it’s real. We already have 2,000 users on a pre-alpha version, and I’m now opening up late-Alpha access to a small group.

What it is

KarlaFinance is a money app built around one idea: your money should feel private.

Right now that means:

  • A clean, simple way to understand where your money is going
  • Insights without the noise or spreadsheet vibes
  • A money assistant style experience that helps you reflect on spending patterns

What’s coming soon (not live yet):

  • Privacy-first / local-first processing
  • More powerful analysis and automation features

Also being transparent: this is alpha. It’s not a full “export everything” power-user product yet.

Late-Alpha Offer

To get real usage and feedback, I’m offering 50% off Premium for the first 100 people who join late-Alpha.

  • No coupon code
  • The price drops automatically
  • I’m turning it off once we hit 100 users

How to try it

Android/iOS is available via PWA right now.

My ask

If you try it, I’d love blunt feedback. If something is confusing, feels missing, or you hit a bug, tell me and I’ll prioritize it.

If you want in, jump in now while the 50% is still active.
