1940s movie but might have been a 15 chapter serial.
I only remember one scene: Three German fighter aircraft with what looks like a TV screen on the control panel. They twisted a knob (we watch each pilot do it) until a video of an Allied plane comes into focus. (Presumably to attack it.)
It seemed to me that it would be unlikely for a war movie to show the enemy using superior technology. The style and quality suggested what you might expect in a movie serial.
I asked Gemini and told him to think it over. He confidently named it "School for Secrets" (1946).
I found it on a .ru website and enjoyed it. (You can keep those cookies, thank you) It was about a small team of British scientists (proudly calling themselves 'Boffins' (Nerds!)) developing RADAR. One of them finds himself (fish out of water) participating in a commando raid to steal a German RADAR set (a dramatization of an actual event). Also.... We see the disinformation about carrots improving night vision to conceal the use of RADAR.
That wasn't the movie I was talking about.
PS: This is my first post at this particular section of reddit. I hope to contribute in the future.
