What golf simulators are actually really accurate in terms of yardages, rollout etc?
After going to the gym today I decided to just hit a few balls afterwards. They have a lot of facilities there including a golf sim. It seems like a decent set up. The sensor is something mounted on the ceiling and it has a gaming PC running it. But the yardages were clearly really off.
My driver was not even close to being accurate (way short) and my irons were sometimes ludicrously long. I can still tell when I hit one well and while I expect my speed to be a little down as I have not hit a ball in over a month, the numbers made no sense to me or the other person who was watching me hit some balls. Like a smashed driver was going 180 yards?
So what sims are actually accurate? I know trackman is the best or one of the best. But what other models are ones that you can rely on for how you are actually hitting the ball?
