I am considering getting an XREAL One Pro for work

I work for a very security conscious company, and I don't think there is any way they will let me install Nebula if it requires installation on my work laptop. I can request it, but I am not confident it will get through the process. Is the software usable as a portable app (no installation required - just run the EXE)? How well do these glasses work without that software?
