What's this IOG thing all about?

Hi I just got an EV and will pick it up Tuesday. I don't currently have a charger at home. I rent and asked the landlord to install it, no answer yet, and I have octopus as my supplier.

What is all this about? Was I screwed even before getting the car?

Thanks
