Complex living situation, advice needed
If I work part-time as a bartender in Canada (I come from an expensive city), can that help pay off living expenses? Assuming I rent out an apartment and live with roommates to make things more cost-efficient?
For context, I come from a low income household with barely any personal space. I come from a large family in a 2 bedroom apartment
If I were to work as a bartender at a restaurant, I'd aim to work 2 weekdays and 2 weekends while being a University student
I plan to start University in September 2026, and I want to move out
Would this be a manageable workload if I were to pursue a science degree plus working 2 weekdays and 2 weekends as a bartender on a part-time basis while doing full-time school?
I also have 0 experience in the restaurant industry
I would aim to rent out a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 roommates to make things more cost-efficient. I don't know if people are comfortable sharing a single room
I don't want to end up in a financial mess
Perhaps I should seek out a financial coach or some therapy
What's the best option for me?
