VETASSESS- Education Manager (ANZSCO 134499) Post Qualification Experience Review
Hi everyone,
I'm preparing a skills assessment application for VETASSESS, nominating Education Manager (ANZSCO 134499), which is a Group A occupation.
My question is about the strictness of the 1 year experience in the last five years rule:
- Qualification: Relevant Master's degree completed.
- Highly Relevant Experience: I have several years of highly relevant experience as an Education Manager.
- Timing Issue:
- I have only 6 months of relevant experience that falls within the last five years (i.e., post-Nov 2020).
- The remaining 3 years of experience were completed before the 5-year mark (i.e., ended in Oct 2020).
Will VETASSESS accept this application and issue a positive outcome, or must the full 12 months fall strictly within the last five years?
My fear is that the few recent months are not sufficient to meet the currency requirement, rendering the otherwise extensive older experience invalid for the assessment.
Any insight from people who have successfully navigated this VETASSESS Group A currency rule would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
