Wiring Atlas switches for continuous power (Help)
On my layout, I don't need power-routing (or whatever it's called when the turnout cuts power to the route it is not switched to). The tracks extending from switches will all be isolated and independently powered. So, I want to wire the switch to have provide electricity to both the through and diverging routes at the same time.
I have Atlas code 80 #6 and #8 switches. It seems pretty straightforward for the #8s. There are contacts on the bottom to solder wires to, which should provide current throughout the full switch. The #6s, however, only have one set of contacts (by the points themselves), and the inner rails beyond the frog seem to rely on power from the incoming tracks This is a problem because at least one of the #6s needs to be completely isolated from the through and diverging routes, and thus, there would be a dead spot.
Any advice on how to wire these would be welcome. Images below for reference.
