A1 mini - at color change last half of print, can I skip the prime tower and just let it purge off the plate?

I’m mid print right now and the first layer of the prime tower was not good. However, the print itself looks good so far 🤞. In about 10 minutes it was change colors (I’m using AMS Lite) for the last part of the print. I’m worried the prime tower will mess up the color change. Can I cancel the prime tower, or do something else so that it just purges off the plate (poop) rather than use the tower to transition colors?
