Jared Leto's Joker is a dark reflection of Bruce Wayne

This has bothered me for a while, because on paper, this Joker could not POSSIBLY compete with Batfleck. This Joker is like an LA gangster wannabe or instagram drug dealer, but basically could not possibly hope to compete with Batfleck who is basically Captain America in this universe. This Joker just seemed like a terrible fit as a specific enemy for Batfleck, until I realized what Jared Leto Joker is and what he actually represents - He is a dark reflection of Bruce Wayne.

Think about it: This Joker is basically a CEO. He runs a criminal empire, makes shows at public events (galas for Wayne, night clubs for Joker), flaunts wealth, has Lamborghinis, has a network, has lieutenants, has subsidiaries, and basically he is a shady businessman that uses his wealth for criminal activities. Notice how Bruce Wayne can also be summed up as 'a shady businessman that uses his wealth for criminal activities.' since being Batman is actually illegal.

So when I started thinking about it, the reason this Joker is so good (or rather, what gives him depth, him being 'good' is subjective) is that he represents the opposite side of the Bruce Wayne coin. Structurally speaking, he is the CEO of Gotham's illegal business side of things, while Bruce Wayne is the legitimate CEO.

This Joker also makes no sense as a reflection of Batman, but makes PERFECT sense as a reflection of Bruce Wayne. He is Bruce Wayne corrupted. Bruce Wayne as a criminal king.
