U.S Armed Forces

I am interested in joining the National Guard for many reasons but mostly for student loan debt and furthering my educational career. I was told to look into the other branches and see if they may offer something better in terms of bonuses, incentives and MOS codes. My major was psychology and I chose the National Guard because of the jobs they would be able to offer me. 2 questions: What questions would you recommend me to ask my recruiter? & Do you think I should speak to my recruiter first then think of other branches based on the information he will provide me?
