Enjoying having time off
I was working 7 days a week for a couple months.
I was a dumbass at work, or honest anyway, where I wouldn't bill the full 40 hrs as a contractor and I actually got in trouble for it. So I was like alright fine. Because in the morning I lift the first 30 minutes of the day, we do 2 walks (which is like 40 mins total), I skip lunch/eat at my desk. Happy hour on Thursdays (beer on tap). But in a day I usually on do work like 2 hours, rest of it I'm fucking around. Thankfully I don't really have many meetings other than scrum.
But yeah so now that I'm billing fully it's like an extra $400+ per paycheck. Which when I donated plasma/drove Uber Eats on the weekend I was getting an extra like $350 per week so it pretty much matches... just I was also spending 4 hours donating plasma a week (20 min drive to the place and then waiting in line), I'd drive 6 hours each day Sat/Sun, I'd drive 20 min to this rich area.
Just dumb man... 16 hrs of my life... ugh.
Yeah I was literally driving in circles since I was waiting for an order and I'm just like wtf am I doing?... This is a waste of time, and I was putting a shit ton of miles on my car which is already old it's over 100K in miles now and 11 years old.
I'm sitting there walking on the treadmill and I almost can't stand it, I'm listening to a podcast but I feel trapped walking and staring at the parking lot, counting the numbers down. I would normally jog/run but I lift beforehand on the weekends so I'm tired already. It's just to get the burn going/hopefully lose weight along with fasting/avoiding beer.
It's just a nice feeling not doing anything
Damn I just can't wait to not have a job and pursue something I'm interested in, I'm thinking about living in the desert with a dark sky so I can skygaze at night. No snow so I can have rear wheel drive sports cars and not worry.
I'm not doing nothing right now, I'm writing some code for myself and will clean/work on a video.
