I think Titanix would be such a good name for a hypothetical Steelix evolution/alternative onix evolution

Random thought, but hear me out

The name would stem from titanoboa and titanium

The onix line is already rock/metal snakes, and titanoboa was the biggest, baddest, longest, girthiest snake in history

You could give it a super upgraded version of bind or wrap as its signature move or something

From what I know about titanium, it is also a heavy metal similar to steel. Although it’s not as strong as steel, it is much less dense, and more heat resistant.

This gives interesting practical reasons to give Titanix a similar but different/better stat spread than Steelix - giving it a bit less defense, but a lot more speed.

In addition, Titaniums better heat resistant would open up possibilities for a fire resistant ability on a steel type.

Furthermore, if added as an evolution to steelix, it allows for steelix to live the power fantasy of a defensive powerhouse even more by allowing it to hold eviolite.

So yeah I think Titanix would make such a great addition to the Onix line, both design wise and also for the lines competitive viability.
