Co- sleeping but not feeding

Curious...

Does anyone co-sleep but get up to feed? I have co-slept since day 1 but my son doesn't really like to side nurse. I have always just gotten up to feed and come back when we are done. It seems I am not getting the full benefits that people talk about. I side nurse a couple times a week just to settle him.
