CMC Minor Trust Account

TLDR: Want to know if it's financially worth it to open CMC Minor Trust accounts for my kids.

I'm a 37yo working parent currently investing in ETFs. The purpose is to invest money for my kids, but it's all exclusively in my name at this point. I just saw that CMC have minor trust accounts. Does anyone use these and how do they compare to just controlling the ETFs myself in the way of tax and other issues I haven't thought of?
