Wanting to cancel my delta amex platinum after renewal, but used the companion ticket. Will they cancel the flight if I cancel?

I want to cancel my delta Amex platinum card as I have moved to a non delta hub (now in Denver) and hardly take delta flights. My renewal was a couple weeks ago, but the companion ticket got deposited into my delta account and I already bought a ticket. If I cancel now (within the 30 days of renewal) will they cancel the flight?
