Couple building a boudoir photography portfolio — looking for learning resources & critique advice

Hey everyone,

We’re a couple learning boudoir photography together and slowly building a portfolio under our brand. We’re shooting on a Nikon D750 and practising mostly in a small home bedroom setup.

We love the intimate, natural, emotionally honest look of boudoir, but we’re still very new and our early tests have been pretty underwhelming. We want to improve our lighting, posing, styling, and overall direction so our images feel more intentional and flattering.

If anyone can recommend:

• beginner-friendly boudoir courses or YouTube channels
• books or guides that helped when you were starting
• tips for working in small bedrooms
• places where couples can safely post work for critique

…we’d really appreciate it.

We’re not expecting perfect results — just looking to learn the fundamentals properly and level up as we build our portfolio together.
