Long Term Disabily and SSDI

Has anyone with Vestibular Migraines who has had it for a while been successful getting on Long Term Disability from their Employer? And perhaps Social Security Disability Insurance thereafter or before LTD? I am 61 years old and have been dealing with VM with PPPD for 10 months now. I will be completing short term disability's 6 months in February and likely moving on to Long Term and applying for SSDI as well. Of course they take time for approval. I am inquiring to see if I have hope for approval.
