>**"Magos Thorn, you asked me, "Do you consider us beneath you?"**.

>And I said: yes and no.
What it comes down to is this: what is a human and what is an eldar?

>Us eldar were created by unimaginable Elder Gods. Perfected. A mastercrafted weapon. The purest and brightest, the most resplendent souls this Cosmos had ever seen. We were made perfection and then they handed us the whole wide universe and said we’d be the heirs of it.

>No eldar had ever known struggle. No eldar had ever known hunger, desperation, and by the Crone, we hadn’t even known fear until our excess birthed something deserving of it.

>**And what is a human?**
You were **born** from struggle.
It's **desperation alone** that caused you to evolve from your early ancestors.
It's hunger that made you cunning, it's suffering that made you hardy, it's fear that made you smart.
It's knowing how damn powerless you are in this terrifying universe that grants your kind the sliver of command over the Immaterium you claim.
And yet, despite the whole of all of that your kind took to the stars.

>Your Emperor, the greatest of your kin, he raised you up, you’ve said. He led you.
And now he watches over all of you from on his throne.

>Endless war is all there is now.
And as the ages creep on by your great Imperium declines.
And not a day goes by without a world of yours that falls.
Beset on all sides by your enemies and no hope for relief from anywhere.
**And yet - you fight.**

>Us eldar, heirs of a fallen cosmic legacy, perfect and created, wielders of unfathomable sorcery and ancient crafts so far advanced that you would call it magic just the same and still our kind is always at the brink.
We lack numbers, we lack hope. Encroaching on all sides are all our foes and we’ve been dying out so slowly that we hardly notice.

>And what of you, humans?
Heirs of a scattered and falling stellar Empire, you raised yourself from mud and feral to sapience by chance and chemistry alone.
You wield what I would call a safety risk to your own kind as weaponry.
You scarcely understand your own technology and what your witches can accomplish… it barely qualifies as sorcery.

>Each day another of your precious worlds will fall, you die in numbers we cannot imagine on every single day.
**And yet.**

>With all your lack of powers, with all your lack of aptitude and artistry and none of what I’d call perfection you keep on pushing onward.

>I’ve seen the best and worst of your kind now.
I’ve seen militarum soldiers fight with sacrifice and bravery to rival those upon the Aspect Paths of War.
I think ultimately… your kind and my kind aren’t so unlike.
**We’ve both lost all of this already.**
**And with no chance to win nor any of the tools to really try and make a difference my kind almost all but has resigned while you just keep on fighting anyway. Cause you’re too proud and maybe dumb to yet admit defeat.**
**And in a way I can appreciate that kind of youthful folly."**
