I think I'm trans, but now what?

I've been questioning if trans for a while, these been some signs going back years but its only in the last half year that I've actually started questioning if I'm trans and considering telling someone. But at the same time, if i was to come out tomorrow, i don't even know where i would go from there. I look and act like a generic 17 year old guy, my irl social group consists of basically all guys and i have zero presence online, and growing up I've had no real interaction with the LGBTQ community. I feel like i don't even know what being trans actually means. I don't really know where to go from here, and would be thankful for any advice.
