I misplaced my credit card, but it is expiring soon and they have already shipped the new one. Should I report it?
Hi everyone, dumb question time. I misplaced my credit card last week and didn't realize it for a few days. No odd charges seen, so I'm assuming it's just buried somewhere I can't find. Tore the bag, house, car apart looking for it and nothing, so I locked the card for new purchases.
My card expires in February, and the company sent me a notification that the new one is shipping a couple days ago. Should I still report it lost, and get a new card/number? Or will receiving the new one and activating it be safe and render the old card useless? Sorry if this is common knowledge; I honestly don't know. Thanks for any advice.
