Other trans women don’t like me…
Most of my friends are cis, and for some reason the only close trans friends I have are FTM and nonbinary, and even though I love them, I’ve been trying to meet other trans girls because I want to talk to people I can really relate to. I’m about 5 months into my transition and am just really craving that kind of friendship.
I’m not mean or standoffish at all, in fact I’m kind of renowned amongst my friends as being super nice and welcoming, but at queer meetups and on Discord and stuff I feel like I’m repeatedly iced out by other trans women when I put myself out there.
What gives? Am I annoying, or do they clock something about me that pisses them off?
EDIT: Maybe it is relevant, but I am somewhat conventionally pretty. I don’t pass 100%, but I’m lucky af and have some naturally feminine features. I definitely thought about this as a reason, but didn’t want to think these peeps would be that shallow!
