Should I tell my friend about rumored but likely true info about his soon to be ex wife’s fidelity?

About 6 months ago, a mutual acquaintance drunkenly shared what seemed to be fairly accurate information about a friend’s wife having an affair. That fried and his wife are now getting a divorce. I do not know the basis for the divorce but it was the wife’s request to begin divorce proceedings. I do not know if what was shared is true but many small things add up and I have seen the wife and the other guy together by themselves but not being affectionate.

I chose not share it before the divorce becoming public info as it was pretty much hearsay. And I would never share this information as true and would only share exactly who and how it was shared. Should I tell my friend what I heard or let it be and stay out of it?

TL;DR I heard a rumor about a friend’s wife and now they’re divorcing. Should I tell him?
