Mexico City?
Just very spontaneously booked a flight for my (23F) first solo trip to Mexico City and I'm leaving Friday!!
I've been looking into hostels, and I am wondering if people can answer some questions I have and give some recs if possible.
I am very extroverted and want to be in a social hostel and meet people to do things with during the day and at night, especially other female solo travelers. I am also a lesbian and have very left wing politics, if that matters at all lol. I love history and will definitely be going to a lot of museums.
But, I would still appreciate being able to sleep at night without much noise, as I don't see myself partying every single night (but definitely not against a party hostel, I can deal). My main priority is meeting people.
Most of the social/party hostels seems to be in Centro, but at the same time everyone says there isn't much to do there at night? So where do you go out? I am looking at Apapacho and Casa Pepe.
I feel like I would rather like to stay in Condesa/Roma/Juarez. I am really drawn to Casa Pancha, but I am worried about the social aspect as some reviews say it's hard to meet people. Hostel Juarez also looks good, but same concerns as it seems small.
I will likely have to do a bit of work during the day, so a nice common space to do that would be great, but I can also just work in my bed on my laptop no problem.
Thanks!!
