Guys why do people hate on arcade battles?

So for short, I've been following a creator for some time now, and ALL of their comments are people calling them a loser and stuff like that for simply playing gab above 5.0, I tried grb and got absolutely diddled by the most unemployed pz. III, but it still gets hated on more. it's generally a very nice gamemode, It helps me find weakspots when I don't know what type of tank I'm facing or it's armor coverage, and it basically gives you a free permanent (med - high shell velocity) rangefinder. So other than the "it's funny to bully people" argument, what are your reasons to dislike/hate gab?
