Invitation wording: split cheques at birthday dinner

I want to plan a surprise birthday dinner in a restaurant for my Father’s 60th in February.

I want to invite his friends and family but I can’t afford to pay for everyone’s meal - what wording can I use on the invitation to make sure it’s clear that they’ll have to pay for their own meals, without it seeming too off putting?
