CUDA errore, sense checking my install
I setup my CUI in WSL back in February 2025.
It's been working fine, swapped to a 3090 RTX, all still fine.
About 2 weeks ago I did some updating and then WAN wouldn't work, Zimages crashes out. https://www.reddit.com/r/comfyui/comments/1p81ye3/errors_when_updating_to_latest_two_comfyui/
Errors about CUDA and GPU out of memory basically.
I installed a fresh conda environment in WSL for ai-toolkit yesterday and it trips up with the exact same error.
Since both comfyUI and ai-toolkit in two separate containers are failing, it's kinda narrowed it down to my overall environment being the issue.
I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with my environment.
Currently running:
WSL 2.6.2 on Ubuntu 24.04.3
CUDA Comp tools 12.8 (12.8.93)
Torch 2.8.0+cu128
Python 3.11.11
CUI:
Manager v3.31.9
ComfyUI v0.3.76
Can anyone spot any glaring issues?
I'm running a 3090 RTX and it all works fine with --disable-smart-memory
I'm tempted to start again with an empty WSL container but recall it was a pita to set up originally and I'm struggling to find any recent/decent tutorials.
