Pet sitter fed my dog nothing but eggs, and now he's constipated
I left the morning of the 5th, and I'm waiting to board my flight home now (afternoon of the 7th). My roommate asked to pet sit for me, and I figured staying home is the least stressful option for my dog.
She told me she fed him scrambled eggs every meal because he didn't eat his kibble. I told her it was normal for him not to finish his bowl, and he may even stop eating completely while I was away. She took it upon herself to cook for my dog. 4 eggs a meal...
She also let me know he hasn't pooped the entire time I've been away.
I'm really upset. She won't be allowed near him without me present going forward, and I will make a strict no food rule. I'm worried about my dog, though. He's a shy pooper, so I'm hoping that's why he hasn't gone instead of something medical. I fear she made him constipated or worse.
Is a ton of eggs and no poop for 2-3 days an emergency? I will be landing late at night, and I'm concerned. I already warned her that people food causes pancreatitis.
