Is evolution seen as Buddhistic in Japan?
I mean naively if you dont understand much about Buddhism you might think that laying flat and doing nothing is the ultimate non-attachment, but in Buddhism this is sees as a delusion. So it makes me wonder becuase so much anime, NGE, Ghost in the Shell, they talk about evolution and life struggling.
Does that mean that there are schools of Buddhism in Japan post WW2 imperialism that believe that evolution is syncretized with Buddhism as a form of "to struggle to live is non-attachment"?
I just don't know where to ask this question.
