Ticket in SC but live in Fl
Location: Florida
Ticket in: South Carolina
I recently got a speeding ticket in South Carolina for going 75 and a 60. It looks like I would not be able to take a Florida course to drop the points off my license. In South Carolina this would add four points and in Florida it would add three so I’m not really sure which would appear for me. This is my first ticket ever and I’m 44 so I kind of hoped that he would let me off with a warning, but no such luck. I’ve read in some places that people have called the clerk of court or spoken to the officer to get the ticket reduced. How exactly does that work? Is that worth a try? I’d really prefer to not potentially have four points on my license and my insurance to up.
