Lost a sock

I don’t know of any other place that anyone might care that I lost a sock today, but maybe here? Last year, I splurged on a pair of overpriced running socks that I have enjoyed in luxury. Today, I drove to my local state park for my run this morning and it was moderately muddy where the sun was already thawing frozen spots, so when done, after taking off my running shoes and socks next to the car, I clapped and scraped excess mud off and put my shoes on the floor of the passenger seat. When I got home, only one sock came home with me. I had the chance to go back about two hours later. No sock anywhere in sight. I’m annoyed and a little sad that I couldn’t find it when I went back. I doubt I’ll splurge on fancy socks again for a while. Boo!!! I recognize how low on the list of normal person concerns this is, yet still… boo!!
