Honestly asking: Why do you believe the Catholic Church is the one true Church?
Hi everyone, I’m a student learning about different religions in school right now, and on my own I’ve been digging deeper into Catholicism. The more I read, the more I’m drawn to it…
I’m still learning about the Catholic faith and I’ve developed a deep admiration for it — especially its history, spirituality and just its all around beauty and beliefs. I’m not here to argue or challenge anyone! As I have a deep admiration and respect for y’all and your denomination, I’m just genuinely trying to understand how Catholics themselves see things.
For those of you who believe that the Catholic Church is the “one true Church,” could you share why you personally believe the Catholic Church is the one true Church founded by Christ? What are the reasons, arguments, or experiences that led you to that conviction?
I’m especially interested in: • historical or theological reasons and or facts • how Catholics understand apostolic succession • the role of Scripture + Tradition together • personal experiences that made it click for you
I’d really appreciate any thoughtful explanations, recommended resources, or personal stories. Just trying to learn with an open mind and a lot of respect.
Thanks in advance and God bless!
