Can I get some honest recs for gloves?

All I see in the local shops are the Ahead gloves but I've seen pro drummers with gloves that look much thinner and lower profile. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations?

I really don't want to hear it from the purist snobs who say "ImPrOvE yOuR tEcHnIqUe BrO". I get it. I play metal music, hit hard, and have been away from playing for awhile. It's hard to even get back to baseline when I get blisters after a 1-hour session and then need to take a break for 5 days to let my hands heal. Band-aids slide off because my hands get sweaty, even the waterproof ones. Gloves are a tool just like anything else in drumming. If they're good enough for pros then they're good enough for me.
