(lore ig) Why does badwater have the radioactive symbol?

It doesnt really make sense for it to have that symbol as it doesnt have the properties of like, a radioactive substance. beavers dont get harmed by being close to it, it has the same density as water, and it doesnt decay into something else. I would say that maybe the beavers saw the radioactive symbol be used for dangerous things and used it for the most dangerous thing they know, but in that case they could have just used a skull (or a beaver skull). I know that since the game is still early acces so there is no objective answer to this but I would like to know what you guys think.
