How a smog check would work with a 12v cummins swap into a 2008-2010 F250/F350?

Hello, i have a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 12v cummins and the truck is just falling apart with horrible paint and everything leaks, i find very cheap 2008-2010 f250-f350 with bad 6.4 power stroke engines for very cheap in my area, im a Ford Tech and these trucks are bulletproof expect the engines with amazing interior, transmission and suspension, ive decided to buy one and swap my 12v cummins into it, one hiccup i dont quiet understand is how smog would go, would the F250/F350 with the 12v swap be smog exempt like my Dodge after the swap? What paperwork i have to? The whole ordeal. I live California by the way Thank you!
