Hi everyone, I've been on this subreddit since the summer and have learned so much from everyone. I'd love to share my own progress and answer any questions people may have!

My grumpy face is from Ehlers-Danlos* and long COVID – they've made life difficult, but an interesting effect of being bedbound is that my hair is a lot darker, and my skin is a lot lighter 😅😂 My care team is taking both diseases seriously and is committed to getting me happy and healthy 🥰

Since seeing a dermatologist this fall, my routine has gone through a complete overhaul. Taking a break from luxury skincare to focus on these:

1. Azelaic acid: My rosacea started in my tweens, but since getting long COVID, it has gotten really painful.

2. CeraVe Renewing SA Cream: This is a 3% salicylic acid product formulated specifically for keratosis pilaris, which I was diagnosed with. I get it all over my body and it's horrific to look at 😖

3. Compounded clindamycin formula (KP and body acne): The formula my dermatologist prescribed is mostly alcohol, and my pharmacist offered to put it a special container that has a sponge top. You press down on the sponge to fill it with the medicine and then you draw it on your skin like a marker 😍

That's where I'm at in my skincare journey, I'm really grateful that I can treat the diseases that I have. If you're in a position like mine, don't give up yet. The treatments are out there ❤️

*No stretchy skin or hypermobility

Grumpy face, good updates
