What is this LinkedIn/Twitter influencer style of writing called?
The kind of writing that looks like this:
I went to the store today.
But it wasn't just any store.
You see, this was a grocery store.
With milk.
Eggs.
Cheese.
Even rice was piled high atop the shelves.
You get the point. Is there a name for this style of writing? When did it emerge? Why is it all over the internet now? I actually hate it so much and I want to know what to call it so I can rant about it with precision.
