This was a return to the game I love. 50 years playing. But basically 20 years off (7 rounds in 20 years due to 7 surgeries). 22 rounds, 10 range seasons and countless hitting in the garage. It was also a year to experiment with clubs. Vice, Takomo, 69, Orlimar, Callaway, and now Edel. I traded in all my old equipment to do this and with a strict budget.

Vice and Takomo are brilliant irons. Made my game look normal and had so much fun again. I started my year with my wife's 25 year old Orlimar irons. Also excellent, but a move to getting my adjustments was something I wanted.

So Edel: Just hitting them inside and on the range and there they are seriously fantastic. I really got them tweaked and boy they fit me perfectly. True love. So fun to hit. I got the 6-Wedge with a free 4-iron and Pins and Aces bag for $700. I would have paid twice for this quality for just 6 thru wedge. Getting a free club and killer bag is just more ❤️.

Do not brush these DTC clubs off especially Edel. Yes, consumerism caught me but now I have 3 sets I can swap out and play for a long long time. And since I have not had a set of my own in over 25 years, I deserve them.

Year end Handicap Index is 6.7. But I am scratch at fun index. I love this game.

Oh, and my putter is still the same for 50 years. Ping Anser.

Happy Holidays all.
