I feel so guilty but I know it’s misplaced.
I (HLF) and my husband (LLM) have been struggling with our intimacy since having our son.
I understand my body changed but I worked hard to get it back, and now it’s better than ever before. I also went through postpartum depression severely, and I recognize how that may have impacted him as my partner. I got into therapy and began medication as fast as I could and am doing wonderfully now.
I keep the house beautiful, always have something cooking or baking when he arrives home from work. Our son is extremely well taken care of, I work so hard to do developmental activities and crafts every day.
I feel like I’m doing everything right, but he won’t fuck me. It’s killing me. I know I’m not entitled to his body by any means but I have expressed how important this is to me and crucial to improving our marriage and it has been made to seem irrelevant.
I need to feel desired. I get all dolled up, stay clean and smelling nice and wearing cute clothes/ lingerie. Send him sexy little texts and pictures. I get nothing back.
He’s finally expressed that he believes he is depressed. Which I understand. However he has done nothing to improve this for himself, me, or our son. I made him an appointment. We’ll see if he sticks to it.
Idk if this even makes sense, I feel like I’m losing my marbles at this point.
Everything else in our marriage is literally perfect so I feel so ungrateful. I hate that it matters so much to me.
