Unacceptable just unacceptable

I’ve been on this sub long enough to know that RAC are bad but when you experience it or someone you know does it hits home.

Last night as my colleague was on his way to work Railway night shift. His van broke (company)down on the M62 eastbound @22:15 ish and managed to get off the motorway and stop at Ripponden. As we were working the same location I drove up to pick him up. Leaving his two older boys in the van. On the presumption that recovery comes and takes the broken down van back to depot. Arrival time was 03:00 from a 22:00 call out. After the job finished around 02:00 I drove my colleague back to his van still waiting. They didn’t turn up until 9 am Sunday morning. Thats 11hrs waiting for recovery and a night in a van that had no heating. Luckily we work outdoors so we layer up during winter and he had a blanket in the van. Do better RAC do better just do better
