Air Transat Strike Latest In A String Of Disruptions

As Canadians know, I am one of the most vehement critics of the Anti-Replacement Worker Legislation, introduced by the Liberals and voted on unanimously by the House of Commons.

It was shocking to me how little pushback there was against legislation that was fundamentally harmful to Canada's national interest, particularly in creating massive risks of outages to critical infrastructure which powers Canada's trade and economic interests.

The unanimous vote in parliament without a single dissenting voice made me realize that the current MPs in Ottawa are not up to the task of governing Canada.

From the port of Vancouver, to the rail strike, to the port of Montreal, to the Air Canada flight attendants, and now Air Transat, the problems impacting the Canadian economy continue to fester.

One of the reasons I believe Mr. Poilievre should face a competitive primary is due to his failure of leadership on this vote.

As he introduces a meaningless motion about the pipeline, it's obvious he doesn't know how to govern or what to do.

This is why I am considering replacing Mr. Poilievre as leader of the Conservative Party.

Not only would I table a motion to repeal the anti-Replacement Worker Legislation, but rather introduce a motion for the Pro-Replacement Worker Legislation.

This legislation would require industries in the critical infrastructure space to have contingency plans for outages including labour disruptions and activate those plans within 24 hours, as to ensure the uptime of critical infrastructure.

The legislation would be called: Securing Canada's Critical Infrastructure and Vital Interests From Disruptions.

I would dare Carney or any Liberal to vote against it and you know there are going to be fireworks.

Instead, Poilievre table the "put up or shut up" pipeline legislation that accomplishes absolutely nothing.

He is a good guy. Very sharp speaker. But just not there at the level needed to be the Prime Minister.

He will make a create Government Whip or even Government House Leader, but Prime Minister, I feel he is not sufficiently strategic to know how to be PM.
