AITAH for telling my flatmate i dont like the way they cook rice

Hey everyone! I (27F) and my flatmate (26M) Marc (fake name) live with his partner (30M) Dan, and we have been really close friends for about 10 years and we have lived together for 4 of those years. In terms of friendship we are super close like siblings and sometimes like lovers without the sex lol but we have very close relationship. We are also very goofy with eachother, this means being silly and mean to each other which is very tipical in our culture. We constantly say mean things to each other and we always laugh, its never a big deal.

A few days ago, my flatmate Marc and i were pretty lost when it came to what we should cook for dinner and he was looking around the cupboard and saw we had a bunch of rice. So he said “ guys i can make some rice” and then me, being silly as we always are, i said “hummm truth moment 🙈 lol i actually dont live for your rice but sure lets go” in a goofy lighthearted way! To be honest i dont fucking care about his rice but its honestly not my favourite because he doesnt measure the water right but its so whatever to me, ill eat it anyways! Since we are so honest with eachother i didnt see a problem sharing that i dont love the way he cooks rice and therefore said it in a funny goofy way to which he replied kinda angry “what a mean and messed up thing to say”

I dont get it, i can assure you i wasnt rude or trying to be mean, it was so lighthearted and i always eat his rice!

But im thinking, was it that mean for me to say that? Ive looked and thought a lot about it because i felt bad by his reaction but since i know it was in a funny way and not mean spirited i cant see how i was the asshole

But its fair if you think so
