Scale Shift (体積変化) volume alteration

Cursed Technique

Hey everyone, I came up with a new Curse Technique that only affects inanimate objects and allows the user to manipulate their size, inspired by Isshiki from Boruto. The technique is called Scale Shift, or in Japanese Taikyū Henka (体積変化), meaning “volume alteration.”

With this ability, the user can enlarge or shrink objects at will. The key twist is that shrunk objects are stored in a personal pocket dimension, so they no longer exist in the physical world until the user retrieves them. These stored objects can then be reused or “fired” back into the real world as projectiles or tools. The smaller an object is made, the easier it is to store it in this dimension. Enlarged objects, on the other hand, remain in the real world and can be used immediately as weapons, barriers, or tools.

The technique works by briefly seeing or touching the object to channel cursed energy. Mass and volume can either be scaled proportionally, or the mass can remain constant, increasing density. Stored objects can be recalled from the dimension at any time, either returning to their original size or being used in a modified form.

Strategically, the technique is extremely versatile. Environmental objects can be compressed and stored to be later used as surprise projectiles, or large objects can be manipulated to control the battlefield. Since it only works on inanimate matter, opponents aren’t directly affected, putting the focus on clever use of space, timing, and object management.
